Well, I’ve kind of hit a wall in my scratch building. My flat surafces aren’t quite coming out even and it’s driving me crazy. Until I get a decent protractor and possibly a belt sander, I’m stopping work on this build. Unfortunately that means I’m going to have to shelve this project for at least a few weeks.
In the meantime, I’m going to dedicate this month to SD kits. It seems appropriate that the shortest month should be dedicated to tiny kits. And as a side bonus I should be able to put out a new one every week, so stay tuned for updates!

Full Plate, kinda. It’s actually two. The armor on the left side are a separate plate that comes pegged into the main one. I assume this is so that they will be able to sell variations on these in the future. A package comes with 2 of these sets.
Wow, has it almost been a week already? I feel like I've been troubleshooting this week more than progressing on the build. I haven't been progressing as fast as I'd like lately, but I did decide to reproportion some of the torso. It's a bit too rounded and sleek, so I'm trying to widen and square it a bit to bring it more in line with the look of the anime. Read More
I did a little more work on the shoulders today. They're going to need a lot of sanding and puttying before they look finished but the rough work has been finished. I also managed a little bit of work on the left hand. Read More

Thanks to Rilkal on Reddit, I'm now working on the Master Grade Shining Gundam! It's an older kit and definitely has its quirks , but it's a neat design that has a lot of potential. Planned mods include removing the transformation gimmick and permanently locking it into Super Mode, lighting effects (Shining Finga!), and reshaping of various parts of the model to bring its appearance more in line with the anime.
