Nightingale Progress for 3/6

It feels like I’ve been making baby steps, but the Nightingale is finally starting to near completion. Parts are getting final touches and coatings, and parts are starting to be glued together. There are still a few naggling problems; the resin doesn’t seem to be cured in a few spots, so the paint won’t take and I just don’t have space for all those bells and funnels, but they’ll be solved in time.
As you can see, the preshading is really heavy handed. The flash in these pictures really overdoes the contrast but under normal lighting it has a depth that looks like lacquer. I’ve really grown to like it and while it may not be suitable for every model kit, with a few tweaks I could see it making a really beautiful Sinanju.
If you haven’t already seen what I’m going for and are interested in knowing, you’ll definitely want to skim through this post!
